ibride began in 1996 in France when Carine Jannin joined forces with Rachel and Benoît Convers to design objects with the aim cultivating an otherness, creating objects which make all the difference. Since its inception, ibride has blossomed through a series of unique collections, where each and every object, the fruit of personal intuitions and convictions, embraces its own mythology.
ibride offers amazing objects that aren’t exactly what they seem to be…The Faux-Semblants collection is the perfect representation of the balance between design and graphics, between archetypal shapes and contemporary re-interpretation. This collection proposes objects which are both unique and multiple. The pure outlines of the vases are divided into many different dishes, destined for tableware, and all reveal an unexpected graphic universe.
The Faux-Semblants, or Stackable Tableware sets, are objects in the form of tributes and inherited their clean lines from distant cultures. Make no mistake about it, their ornamental design has a surprise in store. Made up of harmoniously stacked eclectic containers, the Faux-Semblants may also be unstacked to unveil gorgeous companions of an enhanced and surprising and generous table setting.
